Midships cottage Devon
Midships is just 250 metres from the sea, located in a quiet road off the main shopping street of this popular fishing village, a finalist for Village of the Year 2018. Completely refurbished to a high standard by its owners, this first floor apartment provides very bright and welcoming space for small families or groups looking for a holiday in a lovely seaside location. Much care and attention has been lavished on Midships and the result is a very comfortable and surprisingly spacious home, creating a feeling of peace yet remaining very much part of this village community. From its sleek, modern kitchen to its cosy beds, guests will instantly be encouraged to switch off and enjoy some downtime in this fabulous spot on the East Devon coast.
Please note : Allocated parking bay in the courtyard for one car, a parking permit will be given on arrival for the local car park due to limited size of the parking bay.
Beer is a small picturesque fishing village on the south Devon coast near Seaton. The shingle beach is very sheltered, backed by limestone cliffs and was once fertile smuggling territory, plus contraband was hidden in nearby caves, which are now a popular tourist attraction. Beer is situated on the stretch of Devon coastline, known as the Jurassic Coast, a designated World Heritage Site, and the village offers sloping streets lined with picturesque stone houses and cottages built on many different levels of the steep valley sides. There are a good range of shops, friendly cafes, restaurants and pubs in Beer, plus just outside the village is the popular Pecorama Gardens, which are perched on the hill overlooking Lyme Bay. Pecorama boasts the Beer Heights Light Railway and indoor model railway exhibition, along with a childrens` play area. Beer is a unique Devon fishing village and a great place to stay.
