Home to one of England's most famous universities, Cambridge is a lovely town to visit. Try the traditional sport of punting on the River Cam for a unique view of the beautiful scenery from the water. Visit the famous King's College Chapel, one of the most famous buildings in the city and a symbol of Cambridge. With everything from self catering to child friendly accommodation available in Cambridge, you'll be able to see the sights at your leisure. The city is perfect for a short break and there's lots to keep even the most lively family members happy. Try a round of golf or choose an exciting attraction to visit. The Imperial War Museum Duxford is based on a World War II airfield and the number of planes will take your breath away. For a real change of tempo, a night out at the Luxe Cinema is guaranteed to please. The luxurious couches and leather armchairs are just right for taking in a good film. Anglesey Abbey at Lode, just to the north of Cambridge is managed by the National Trust. Great for those with an interest in history, Anglesey Abbey also has truly beautiful gardens and grounds.

National Trust managed Wicken Fen National Nature Reserve is an excellent choice for a memorable outing. The oldest National Trust reserve in England, it's also one of the most famous, rent a holiday cottage nearby and really make the most of the countryside. Try a day out in Ely, or take the kids to Shepreth Wildlife Park. Family holidays aren't complete without a trip to the zoo and Linton Zoo has tigers, snow leopards, zebras and so much more, as well as the famous Linton Zoo lions. The beautiful countryside near Peterborough is where you'll find Sacrewell Farm and Country Centre. A real 18th century farm and mill, with a magnificent water wheel, Sacrewell Farm and Country Centre is ideal for all ages. Peterborough is great for a short break, good restaurants and shopping as well as many local attractions make it ideal for family holidays, whilst also having good options for a round of golf. Ely is perfect for a short break, with lots of self-catering options, you can come and go as you please. Don't forget to visit Oliver Cromwell's house, he lived in Ely for 10 years and his house is a fascinating insight into one of history's most memorable characters.
