This 200 year old tin miner's cottage has been fully refurbished yet retains many of its original charm including steep cottage-style stairs, exposed stone walls, cast iron feature fireplaces, beams and an inglenook fireplace complete with woodburner.
An ideal base for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. Walkers and cyclists will be spoilt for choice with so many attractions on their doorstep and within easy reach. 2 miles walk across fields you will find Siblyback Country Park where you can hire canoes and partake in other activities and Trethevy Quoit’s, the megalithic tomb is only 5 minutes walk away. Also within easy reach are the Goliath Falls where you can explore wooded and waterfall walks, Caradon Hill the World Heritage Site and The Minions with its historic landscape history rich with legends, it also boasts the highest public house in Cornwall. You will be perfectly positioned to explore the whole region featuring some lovely long sandy beaches to enjoy as well as popular fishing villages including Looe and Polperro. Why not visit one of the 2 pubs within a mile or take a 30 minute walk to The Crows Nest, a 17th Century Inn.
The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: 1 double with feature fireplace and TV / DVD and 1 twin.
Bathroom: family size with shower over bath, heated towel rail and WC. Lounge / diner: with tiled flooring, beams, traditional fireplace with woodburner (first basket of logs included), TV, DVD, dining table with seating for 4. Separate lounge with flat screen TV, feature fireplace, sofa bed (suitable for children) and additional soft seating. Kitchen: compact yet well thought out with electric cooker, hob, extractor hood, microwave, under counter fridge and freezer. Entrance porch with storage for coats and boots.
Outside: rear enclosed patio area with seating.
Amenities: road side parking nearby. Bed linen, towels, electric and central heating included. Regret no smoking within the property. 2 medium-sized, well-behaved dogs by arrangement.
Additional info: There is a secure anchor in the rear patio area for bikes. Neighbours have occasional access through the rear courtyard. Fitted stair gate at the top of stairs.
