Tucked away alongside a pretty mountain stream this two-bedroom property is a hit with walking enthusiasts with miles of uninterrupted walks straight from the door. Take to two wheels and join the Taff Trail cycle route or the Henry Vaughan walk along the old Brynoyre railway track which both run along the valley near the cottage. The pretty village of Talybont-on-Usk is 1 mile away and has a canal two rivers a reservoir woods and waterfalls to explore. It also boasts some great pubs too. An entrance porch leads into the country kitchen with an antique pine dresser along with a dining table and chairs. Equipped with all you may need to rustle up a snack or a more formal meal this room has an electric double oven a microwave and an American-style fridge freezer. The conservatory is a truly delightful space to sit and watch the world go by with the stream gushing over the rocks and an abundance of wildlife to spot including a range of birds and animals in the garden. The sitting room is bursting with character with exposed brickwork and beams making this a super space to unwind on the comfortable sofas while the wood burner warms the room. One of the sofas is also a sofa-bed should it be needed. The bathroom is located on this level and has a bath hand-held shower and WC. From the kitchen steep traditional cottage-style stairs wind around the back of the fireplace up to the first floor where you ll find the first of two restful and spacious double bedrooms each with an additional single bed. The second of these rooms is accessed via a further cottage-style stone spiral staircase found coming off the living room. Step outside into the garden and soak up the beautiful natural environment around you. Take a seat on the garden furniture and fire up the BBQ for an evening of al fresco drinks and dining. There is a designated parking space for one car with additional parking available nearby. Need to know: 2 bedrooms 2 doubles, each with an additional single bed. 1 bathroom downstairs. Electric double oven, microwave, American style fridge freezer. TV and DVD in lounge. Wi Fi not included. Limited phone signal. Wood burner (limited supply of logs provided more available in village shop). Garden with furniture and BBQ. We would advise this property is not suitable for children under the age of 9 (because of the river) or for the slightly infirm, as access is quite steep and possibly difficult in winter.. Designated space for 1 car, further spaces available 275 metres away. 2 dogs welcome (please be aware of the stream below the cottage in winter). Pubs and a shop 1 mile away.
