On the outskirts of Appledore, you will be a 15 minutes stroll to the quayside as well as the Maritime Museum, restaurants, shops and numerous family pubs all serving good food. Westward Ho! beach is also an easy walk and offers 2 miles of golden sands, popular with bathers, surfers and sun seekers. There are a variety of leisure activities on your doorstep including National Trust cliff-top walks, tennis, championship golf course, riding, swimming pool and more. The market town of Bideford is a 10 minutes drive and offers high street shops, pannier and open-air market and is also the home to the Oldenburg for day trips to Lundy Island.
