The cottage is located close to the charming town of Wincanton. You can take a short drive to Wincanton Racecourse and enjoy the steeplechasing have a little flutter or enjoy a drink. The cathedral city of Wells is a short drive as is the Spa town of Bath. Attractions include Stourhead House and Gardens whose immaculate grounds offer numerous interesting features including temples lakes trees a folly and shop. You could explore Cadbury Castle mythical burial place of King Arthur and his knights with its 18 acre Iron Age encampment. There are many pretty towns and villages to enjoy such as Bruton a small town on the River Brue or Castle Cary with its choice of small shops and museum. On entering this superb property you will find yourself in the spacious and inviting open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. With original exposed beams and wood burner as well as TV/DVD underfloor heating and French doors leading to the patio the lounge is ideal for relaxation. The dining area is attractively situated and theres also a handy breakfast bar by the kitchen. The kitchen is well-equipped with electric oven hob fridge dishwasher and many useful extras. You will also find a utility room with freezer washing machine and tumble dryer. Heading down a few steps from the utility room to the lower ground floor you will find a zip-and-link twin bedroom which can be made up into a double on request. There is also a king-size bedroom on the ground floor with TV/DVD en-suite shower room with WC and French doors leading to the garden. The ground floor also has a separate WC. Theres a comfy twin room on the first floor. You will find a bathroom on the first floor complete with hand-held shower and WC. Stepping outside you can relax in the large enclosed garden complete with patio garden furniture large lawn and BBQ. The owners are happy to welcome guests to visit the cows and sheep on the farm by arrangement. Guests may also head to the lake and have a go at fishing (which is suited more to children/beginners as opposed to the keen angler please bring your own equipment).
