Peacefully located on a rural lane in the heart of the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty the cottage is within easy walking distance of Beaminsters market square home to a choice of great places to eat and drink. The Jacobean Mapperton House and Gardens is nearby (2.5 miles) and there are miles of stunning walks to enjoy from the doorstep. The bustling Georgian market town of Bridport (6.5 miles) is just half a mile from the coast and has a range of independent shops pubs restaurants and cafes. Bridport is the gateway to the Jurassic Coast with miles of sandy beaches including West Bay (8 miles) Hive Beach (9.5 miles) and Chesil Beach (22 miles). Local attractions include Pilsdon Pen (6 miles) Lewesdon Hill (4 miles) and the popular town of Lyme Regis (16 miles). On entering this light and attractive property you will find a hallway with seating and a selection of books on the bookcase. This leads you into the bright and spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. A double-sided wood burner is at the heart of the space dividing the room into two parts with a step leading up to the raised kitchen. The stylishly designed kitchen/diner offers an attractive dining area and is fully equipped with an electric oven gas hob microwave fridge freezer dishwasher and breakfast bar. The washing machine is in the separate utility room. The stylish lounge features a vaulted beamed ceiling and French doors leading to the terrace and is an ideal space to unwind in with TV/DVD and plenty of seating. There is also a ground-floor WC. Going upstairs you will find three comfortable bedrooms: there is a spacious super king-size bedroom with a Juliette balcony overlooking the garden a king-size bedroom and a twin bedroom. The first floor also features a bathroom as well as a shower room each with a WC. Please note the upstairs rooms all have sloping ceilings and reduced head height at the eaves. Stepping outside you can relax on the gravelled terrace which has outdoor furniture and a BBQ. The house is set within around half an acre of grounds facing fields with an orchard area and natural hedgerows bordering the garden. There is ample parking for 4 cars available.
