PRETTY CHARACTER COTTAGE IN 'WALKERS PARADISE'
This delightful property has been tastefully refurbished by its owner yet retains much of its traditional rural cottage charm. Situated in the village of Bere Alston in the Tamar Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it is a great base for exploring the southern coastline of both counties.
You will find there is so much to do in this area; nestling on the Devon / Cornwall border with rugged Dartmoor on your doorstep there are many beautiful scenic walks and Devon and Cornwall's beautiful, unspoilt beaches are within easy reach. The ancient market town of Tavistock is only a 5 mile drive and boasts a covered market, attractive shops and farmers markets. Slightly further afield, yet still within easy reach, you will find Plymouth which offers a wide variety of restaurants and shops, Historic Barbican and Hoe, Theatre Royal and cinema complex, as well as the National Marine Aquarium. Other must see attractions in the area include Morwellham Quay, Buckland Abbey and The Garden House, as well as an array of National Trust properties to visit.
The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: 1 double on the first floor, and 1 small single room on the ground floor.
Bathroom: with shower over bath and WC (located on slightly elevated level). Lounge / diner: cosy room with feature fireplace (non-working) and flatscreen TV / DVD. Kitchen: compact area with electric oven and hob, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave and washer / dryer.
Outside: enclosed garden, accessed via a couple of steps, with lawn and garden furniture.
Amenities: Free parking in local car park behind the property 50-100 yards. Bed linen, towels, electric, central heating and wi-fi included. Regret no smoking inside the property. 1 well-behaved dog welcome.
Location: beach at Wembury 17 miles, pub and village shop within walking distance.
