SUPERB COTTAGE WITH COUNTRYSIDE VIEWS
Set in 2 acres of garden and grounds, this completely renovated and refurbished cottage, originally three separate dwellings with no immediate neighbours, is well furnished and retains much of its original charm and character with two staircases, inglenook fireplaces to the lounges and dining room and exposed beams to the master bedroom.
Conveniently located on the A3124, you will be close to the village of Beaford some 0.8 miles away with its arts centre and 5 miles from the Cavalier Town of Torrington, making it a convenient place to holiday, being close to a huge range of amenities such as RHS Rosemoor Gardens and Torrington 1646. Watch glass being blown at Dartington Crystal before enjoying a traditional Devon cream tea in the adjoining restaurant. Family theme parks such as The Big Sheep and The Milky Way are a short distance away and offer families of all ages a great day out. Other interesting places to visit include Clovelly, a cliff-side fishing village with steep cobbled streets leading down to the harbour. The market town of Bideford with its weekly pannier market, Burton Art Gallery, Victoria Park and historic quayside are worth a look. For those who enjoy walking or cycling the Tarka Trail (a former railway line which runs from Braunton - Meeth) is nearby and offers a safe and level walkway for children and adults alike, with a few welcome watering holes along the way.
The accommodation retains many original features including exposed beams, wooden flooring, low / narrow doorways and split levels offering FOUR bedrooms: all on the first floor which can be accessed by 2 staircases and with countryside views. The first stairway takes you up to 1 twin and 1 master double with exposed beams, TV, DVD, washbasin and vanity unit. The second staircase leads to 2 spacious twin rooms. There is an interconnecting door in 1 of the twin rooms between the 2 sides of the cottage which can be open or closed depending on your party make up.
Bathroom: from the first staircase with shower over bath and WC and a separate shower room. Further family bathroom is reached by the second staircase. 2 separate WCs on the ground floor.
Lounge: downstairs with feature inglenook fireplace, TV with SkyplusHD, DVD, ipod dock and lovely views over the patio and garden. Smaller cosy lounge with woodburner, TV and DVD, excellent for quiet time or a separate area for children. Dining room: perfect for special occasions, with inglenook fireplace, woodburner and hi-fi. Kitchen: with a range of fitted units, dishwasher, dual fuel cooker, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge / freezer, microwave, TV and many useful extras.
