Follow Captains Walk and see the remains of Brecons medieval walls or visit the South Wales Borderers Museum at Brecon Barracks. Steeped in history find some of Europes finest surviving castles Brecon Castle overlooking the River Usk Abergavenny Castle set against the spectacular hills and Crickhowell Castle a prominent feature within a small market town. For a day trip there are many attractions including The Big Pit National Coal Museum Blaenavon Iron Works and the National Show Caves Centre.
