Bridle Cottage cottage Yorkshire Dales
Situated in the centre of the popular market town of Settle is this charming cottage - a delightful, stone-built, three storey terraced townhouse. Just six miles from Malham, this property has been lovingly restored, decorated and furnished to a high standard so that it provides warm and comfortable accommodation. The property exudes character and has retained a number of original features including a beamed sitting room with exposed stone wall and woodburner. The building is well placed for walks throughout the local area as well as the local amenities and attractions within Settle itself.
Situated in the south-west rim of the Yorkshire Dales National Park is the bustling market town of Settle. Nestled beside the largest outcrop of limestone in Britain - a region of scars, cliffs, caves and potholes – this pretty little town is set against a backdrop of some of the most picturesque scenery in North Yorkshire. Every Tuesday, the town`s market place is filled with stalls offering a wide variety of crafts and goods whilst throughout the rest of the week the local businesses surrounding the market place thrive. There is a good selection of restaurants and pubs and the town also boasts an excellent public swimming pool. Three days a week, the Victoria Hall is transformed into a cinema, providing visitors with all the activities of a larger town. The famous Settle-Carlisle Railway is also a huge draw and runs regular trips across some of the most beautiful and inspiring upland scenery in the country.
