This property is located close to Brixham town centre just a few minutes walk from the towns busy harbour with its heritage fishing fleet and tour boats. The whole region is known for the clear blue water and warm seas at the beaches and there are several beaches within easy reach of the town centre including Shoalstone Beach which has the added bonus of a tidal pool and quiet Fishcombe Cove. The coastal walks around the edges of the town are absolutely stunning whether you fancy walking out to the lighthouse at Berryhead National Nature Reserve or enjoying the picturesque six-mile hike to the neighbouring town of Paignton. A number of external steps lead to the front door of this former-fishermens cottage which opens directly into the cosy lounge with its warming wood-burner comfortable seating and Smart TV. Moving towards the rear of the property past the stairs guests come to the kitchen/diner where there is a dining table seating four an oven hob microwave fridge with an ice compartment counter freezer dishwasher and washing machine. A door from the kitchen area leads to the rear courtyard and steep steps to the elevated sun terrace. Wooden stairs lead to the first floor where there is an attractive double room which has a double bed and built-in wardrobe. The bathroom is also on this floor and offers the best of both worlds with a corner bath separate shower cubicle and WC. Steep winding cottage-style stairs (unsuitable for children under five) lead to the second-floor bedroom a charming twin room offering views across the towns roof tops. Guests should be aware that this bedroom is in the eaves of the house and therefore is subject to a reduced head-height. Outside the property benefits from a small enclosed courtyard garden and steep steps which lead to the elevated sun terrace this is set to shingle and has a table and bench seating a quiet space overlooking the town with garden furniture making an excellent space to enjoy drinks in the sun. Guests should be aware that this is a high-level terrace and steep stairs lead to it therefore it is not suitable for under-fives. Need to know: 2 bedrooms:. 1 double and 1 twin. 1 large Bathroom with bath, separate shower, and WC. Smart TV. Wi Fi included. Wood burner. Oven, hob, microwave, fridge with an ice compartment, counter freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. Electric and heating included. Bed linen and towels included. Charcoal BBQ. 2 dogs welcome. Steep stairs both inside and out make this property unsuitable for under 5's and the window of the bedroom is a fire escape and has no lock fitted. Beach, shops, and pubs all within walking distance. Brixham is a busy fishing village situated on a very steep hill, so access to some parts of the village can be challenging.. Many of the amenities and cottages in Brixham are accessed via steps some of which can be steep.. Please contact us if you have specific requirements.. There are many small winding streets that are not suitable for cars, therefore many properties in Brixham do not have private parking. However, alternative parking is available in local carparks..
