Perfect for exploring the Frome Valley this lovely Grade II listed cottage is set in the charming village of Broadmayne. Dorchester is nearby (4 miles) and has a range of shops cafes pubs and restaurants. The area is renowned for its links to Thomas Hardy with Hardys birthplace in the village of Higher Bockhampton (5 miles) and his home at Max Gate (3 miles) both open to the public. Other attractions include Maiden Castle (6 miles) Jordan Hill Roman Temple (5 miles) and Clouds Hill (8 miles). The popular resort of Weymouth (7 miles) has a sandy beach traditional seaside amusements and a famous harbour. Weymouth is home to the lifting Town Bridge the Radipole Lake RSPB Reserve and the Nothe Fort museum. On entering this sunny and inviting cottage you will find the cosy and attractive lounge - an ideal space to unwind in. Smart TV/DVD and an iPod dock. Three steps lead down from the lounge into the delightful dining room which is a lovely space ideal for sharing a family meal featuring antique furniture and an open fire in an inglenook fireplace. A couple of steps lead up from the dining room into the kitchen which is fully equipped with an oven microwave fridge and freezer. Exploring further theres a charming conservatory with French doors leading out into the garden. There is also a shower room on the ground floor complete with shower and WC. Heading upstairs via the steep cottage style oak staircase which has a rope handle you will find two cosy bedrooms: one double and a single. Stepping outside you will find a beautiful back garden with attractive borders a large lawn and a covered pond. Theres also a gravelled terrace with outdoor furniture making it a great spot for enjoying an al fresco meal. Theres also a swing (to be used at own risk).
