Ground Floor
With a lovely light and airy feel, it has an entrance porch with seating, which leads to the fabulous, double height living area which has a well-equipped kitchen with granite work surfaces, electric oven and ceramic hob, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. There is a dining area and a large sitting room area with a gas-fired wood burning-style stove and comfortable, plush sofas and a large TV/DVD.
The master bedroom has a king size (5`) bed with wooden side tables and wardrobe and a full length window with views of woodlands; there is a smart e-suite shower room with double size walk-in shower WC and hand wash basin in a vanity unit.
There is a twin bedroom with accents of grey, lemon and blues, that has a dressing table and wardrobe. The house bathroom has a bath with shower over, WC and hand wash basin in a vanity unit.
Outside
Glass doors open onto a wide woden veranda that has a table and chairs - perfect for enjoying al fresco dining. The lodge is set in acres of woodland - there are many wnderful walks - and the charming village of Egton - with the renowned Wheatsheaf Inn - is nearby. The approach is beautifully landscaped, as well as the mature trees, there are flowering shrubs and you can see a small flock of rare breed hens.
The ancient fishing port of Whitby lies at the mouth of the River Esk and is ideally situated for exploring this beautiful part of Yorkshire, with its superb coastline and close proximity to the spectacular North York Moors. Whitby is a charming and atmospheric town of winding streets and hidden alleys, with a picturesque harbour, safe sandy beaches and of course the Abbey, reached by the famous 199 steps.
