This delightful property, formerly the village school house and where Prunella Scales once attended has been stylishly renovated and provides a unique and comfortable holiday home at the head of this pretty valley.
The house is south facing and enjoys a high degree of privacy and is just within a mile off the coast and a two minute stroll from the coast path with its stunning vistas of the North Devon coastline. Much to see and do nearby with the beach at Bucks Mills offering opportunities for prawning, fishing and rock pooling. If you can tear yourself away from this idyllic spot there are also long, sandy surfing beaches at Westward Ho! and Bude. Family attractions include The Big Sheep, The Milky Way and Clovelly, with its steep cobbled streets. In the evenings relax in the garden that can become a real sun trap or enjoy a meal at one of the many local pubs within a 10 minute drive. Play facility: outdoor table tennis table located on the terrace.
The light and airy accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: 1 king-size double with TV and 2 twin rooms.
Bathroom: bath with shower over and WC. Landing cupboards house the washing machine and tumble dryer. Separate WC downstairs. Lounge / diner: with wooden flooring, exposed beams and feature fireplace with woodburner (first basket of logs provided), TV / DVD and wi-fi connection. Boot room off the lounge / diner ideal for walking boots, surf boards, etc. Kitchen / breakfast room: with electric oven and gas hob, fridge, dishwasher and microwave and french doors leading out to the south facing terrace and having utility area with fridge / freezer.
Outside: gated but not totally enclosed lawn with steps leading to further lawn area, garden furniture and BBQ.
Amenities: ample off- road parking. Bed linen, towels, electricity, gas, underfloor heating throughout and wi-fi connection included. Regret no smoking. 1 dog welcome.
Location: beach 0.9 miles, Post Office / stores a short walk up the lane, pub 2 miles. Arrival: 4pm. Departure time: midday.
