Located in the centre of the pretty village of Church Knowle with superb views of the Purbeck Hills from the garden this holiday let has an abundance of character in a great location for both coast and country. The National Trusts Corfe Castle is just 2 miles away while Kimmeridge Bay (3.5 miles) is known as the safest snorkelling site in Dorset; if you and the kids like fossil hunting Worbarrow Bay (5 miles) is the place to go. For sandcastle building visit the sands of Studland Beach (5 miles). Take advantage of the traditional village pub just next door or head into Wareham (6 miles) for a wider choice of bars and restaurants. Inside the cottage a traditional farmhouse style gives the property a welcoming and cosy feel. Stone flooring welcomes you into the hall and the breakfast room where an ornamental fireplace and pine furniture help you get ready for the day; the kitchen also boasts this wonderful flooring and has everything you need including a sink oven dishwasher and microwave. Retire to the lounge and sink into the sofas in front of the wood burner relaxing among the exposed beams and soft cosy decoration. Head through the stable door from the kitchen into the conservatory which acts as a dining room offering stunning views out into the garden and glimpses of the cottages original exterior. Dry your clothes after a beach walk in the drier in the utility room that also includes a WC. Upstairs all the bedrooms have reduced height at the eaves so watch your head! On the first floor two double bedrooms with calming neutral decor and wood furniture make for a peaceful nights sleep; one bright and airy bathroom features a shower over the bath and WC while the second bathroom has a shower. Heading up to the second floor via two separate staircases you ll find two twin bedrooms with wonderful exposed beams and a Victorian ornamental fireplace in one of the rooms to complement the quirky ceiling and wall shapes. Leading out to the rear garden from the conservatory the small patio with garden furniture is a perfect spot to enjoy an al fresco bite to eat overlooking the spectacular Purbeck Hills. The garden is well screened from the pub garden and has a pretty lawn surrounded by trees and shrubs. There is parking directly outside the cottage on the village lane. Need to know: 4 bedrooms 2 double, 2 twin (twins covered by stair gates). 2 bathrooms 1 shower room, 1 bathroom with shower over the bath.
