Corran Cottage cottage Wales

Corran Cottage is a semi-detached barn conversion next to the owner`s riding stables in the lovely countryside a mile from Laugharne. The cottage has a double and a twin room, a ground floor shower room and first floor bathroom, a kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with woodburner. Outside is ample off road parking, and a patio and lawned area with furniture, which is next to a fenced stream, a perfect spot to sit, relax and listen to the sound of the water ebbing past. Corran Cottage is a great base for enjoying Laugharne and its Dylan Thomas connections, or for heading further afield to explore the rest of the coast, enjoy castles and theme parks or take a ride on a steam train or on horseback.

Laugharne is famous for its associations with the poet Dylan Thomas and a visit to his Boathouse and the garage where he wrote most of his works is a wonderful experience. Beautiful walks in and around the castle, with views of the estuary, can be followed by cream teas in little tea rooms, a drink in the local pub or shopping in the gift shops and mini market. The nearby sandy beach at Pendine is where many land speed records have been famously set on its seven mile stretch of beautiful flat sand, and a little further afield are the seaside resorts of Tenby and Saundersfoot.
