CHARACTER COTTAGE IN HEART OF PRETTY VILLAGE
This delightful cottage is situated in a typical Devon village called Kilmington, which is situated on the western side of the River Axe Valley, some 1.5 miles from the market town of Axminster.
The village itself is well serviced with two pubs, a cafe, bistro, village stores, a superb farm shop, a cricket field with play park and tennis courts. Enjoy some pretty woodland walks to Shute Beacon or cycle local paths. An ideal base for touring the South Devon and the Jurassic Coast which is a short drive away, the popular beaches at Charmouth, Lyme Regis, Seaton and Beer. The unspoilt Axe estuary is also nearby with its bird and nature reserve. There are attractions to suit all tastes within half an hour's drive including Abbotsbury, Crealy, Bicton Park and numerous National Trust properties and coastline. Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's acclaimed River Cottage restaurant can be found in nearby Axminster as well as a weekly market and good variety of shops.
The comfortable accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: approachd via steep, cottage style stairs, 1 king-size double, a further standard double and 1 twin room. Shower room: on half landing, with WC. Separate WC downstairs.
Lounge: with slate floor, woodburner (first basket of logs included), Smart TV / DVD Wii games console, iPad dock and wi-fi available. Kitchen / diner: with exposed beams, wall mounted TV, electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave. Underfloor heating within dining area. Utility room: with washing machine and access to WC.
Outside: enclosed lawn garden and patio area with garden furniture and gas BBQ.
