This delightful barn conversion lies at the end of a single-track country lane next door to the owners cottage and 1 mile from the hamlet of Crai. The views across the valley and rolling hills hint at just some of the walks that can be had right from the door while Black Mountain lies to the west and Pen y Fan sits 8 miles east as the crow flies. Given its remote position a vehicle is essential for your stay with the nearest shops found 3 miles away at Defynnog or the slightly larger village of Sennybridge a further mile along the road; the market town of Brecon is 13 miles east. On arrival you are greeted by a large entrance hall with glass doors that flood the space with light. There is ample room here for storing your walking boots and coats before passing through to the elegant open-plan interior. The sitting areas lovely oak floor and electric log effect stove provides you with a warm and cosy place to relax perhaps catching up on your favourite TV show or watching a movie as day turns to night. At mealtimes the kitchen provides everything you need to prepare a simple snack or a family feast with a dining table for everyone to gather around. A handmade flight of oak spiral stairs leads to the propertys two bedrooms one double and one twin as well as the bathroom with a bath and separate shower. Outside a lawned garden with a terraced area invites you to enjoy al fresco dining in front of the wonderful views with a BBQ and garden furniture. You may also choose to stay up after nightfall and enjoy the sparkling night skies the property sits in an International Dark Sky Reserve and the owner has thoughtfully provided astronomy equipment for you to make the most of during your stay. Need to know: 2 bedrooms 1 double, 1 twin. 1 bathroom with bath and separate shower. Electric cooker and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washing machine. Welcome pack. TV, DVD. Wi Fi included (satellite broadband). Travel cot and highchair. Garden with lawn, and terrace with BBQ and garden furniture. Parking for 2 cars. 2 dogs welcome. Pets to be kept under control outside due to livestock in the surrounding fields. Bike storage available. Astronomy equipment supplied for exploring the night sky. Fishing available nearby through the Usk and Wye Foundation. 3 miles to shops and pubs at Defynnog; 4 miles to Sennybridge; 13 miles to Brecon.
