Daisy Lodge cottage Scotland
Daisy Lodge is a wonderful single-storey lodge on the outskirts of the village of Auchterarder in Scotland. The lodge has two bedrooms, a king-size double and a twin, sleeping four guests. The property also features a shower room, an open-plan living room with kitchen, dining room and sitting room with electrical fire-effect heater, plus a separate snug. Outside there is off-road parking for three cars, plus a side veranda with bench seating, a front veranda and a rear patio with furniture and a shed. Daisy Lodge is a wonderful base for a Perthshire holiday.
Auchterarder sits amidst stunning rural scenery in Strathearn, Perthshire. The town was known as The Town of 100 Drawbridges in the Middle Ages, on account of the small bridges that criss-crossed the gutters and offered access between the road and the houses. Auchterarder was made a Royal Burgh in 1200, and was subsequently destroyed by the Jacobites in 1715, and only the handloom industry allowed it to grow and thrive again. Prince William and Kate Middleton were given the title of Earl and Countess of Strathearn on their wedding day by the Queen.
