Nestled in its own private 4-acre grounds with private drive on the edge of the riverside sits Willow Mill a very spacious converted mill dating back to the 1800s one of six mills that supported the market town of Penrith only a mile away. Willow Mill once two properties have been combined creating one luxury dwelling with quirky corners to sit back and get lost in a book play a board game there are plenty to choose from or enjoy views over the paddock onto the river. The hub of the home is the kitchen with a five oven Aga and lots of cupboard space American style fridge/freezer and dishwasher who wants to wash up when they re on holiday! Enjoy your breakfast at the breakfast bar or open plan dining room hosting a large dining table for all to gather together and plan your day ahead. Take a trip to Keswick just 17 miles away or take a boat trip or the steamer across Ullswater lake stopping off to explore only 9 miles away all within easy reach. Enjoy a meal down at the local pub with its beer garden just a short stroll away. There are many attractions in the area - too many to mention. Many eateries restaurants and shops on your doorstep minutes away by car. The Victorian side of the property hosts a down stairs twin bedroom you can also find a wet room on the ground floor a huge typical Victorian hallway with panelling upstairs you will find on the half landing a family bathroom with rolltop iron bath watch the stars whilst you soak and relax also walk in shower. Further up the stairs you will find 2 x king-size bedrooms with one hosting en-suite there is also a twin room all with views over to Mayburgh Henge. Back downstairs through the door you enter the country cottage style area of this home the hub . the kitchen with open plan dining room and the warmth of the gas burning stove hosting a large table to seat all a large open living room with lots of space you will find up on the gallery another double bedroom and shower room a living area with tv and another quite area for reading or just watching the river roll by. Just off the living room you will enter a large conservatory hosting a seating area overlooking the court yard a farm table for children to enjoy with tractors and animals theres a pool table a darts board a gaming table with 60 retro games for those that can remember . Pacman space invaders or donkey-kong. There is large wall mounted tv with full sky package and a bar with bar stools all to yourselves concertina doors that open out onto another patio area where you will find a table tennis table and looking straight onto a full sized tennis court. The playroom hosts a Wii Wii U and Xbox Kinect 360 two large screen TVs. Rally around on the Ferrari driving steering wheel and chill out with a selection of DVDs and an abundance of board games. Take a stroll in the woods to spot the woodpeckers and tree creepers listen out for the shriek of the heron that flies up the river every evening. The swans often sail by too taking a trip from Pooley Bridge just up the road. Shop pub and restaurant mile. There are hammocks to use should you wish to relax down by the river or maybe a spot of fishing. A climbing frame with slides and a huge sand pit for the little ones in the summer months all within the private grounds.
