Errisbeg cottage Ireland
Errisbeg is a lovely, single-storey cottage in Ballyconneely, County Galway. With three bedrooms, two doubles and a twin, it sleeps six people comfortably. The house also has a bathroom, and an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area with open fire and sitting area with multi-fuel stove. Outside, there are front and rear lawned gardens and there`s ample off road parking. Errisbeg is a great base for a family holiday.
The tiny hamlet of Ballyconneely has played witness to significant achievements in history. In 1919 Alcock and Brown landed just two miles away after completing the first ever transatlantic flight. The landing was close to the Marconi Wireless station, itself used to send the first transmission across the Atlantic in 1907. Nowadays, the peaceful location is renowned for the annual pony show and its proximity to the famous Connemara links championship golf course. Close to the vibrant town of Clifden and the spectacular Connemara National Park, this is a superb holiday destination.
