The pretty market towns of Helmsley and Stokesley are close by, offering a range of shops, pubs, restaurants and leisure facilities. To the east of the cottage are the popular coastal towns of Whitby, Scarborough and Staithes. Within an hour’s drive, you can also reach the City of York, Guisborough, numerous National Trust properties and gardens and various other lovely Yorkshire villages and towns. Other attractions include: Eden Camp, Flamingo Land, Dalby Forest and numerous impressive walks and cycle routes.
