1 OF 4 COTTAGES, SET WITHIN 200 ACRES OF NATURE RESERVE WITH SHEEP, PONIES, GOATS AND A DONKEY. THIS PROPERTY IS A FRIDAY CHANGEOVER FOR 2015
These four traditional Cornish cottages are approached via a long private drive, offering peace and space to enjoy the Cornish countryside at this rural location. The farm overlooks the Redmoor Nature Reserve and is set on the side of Helman Tor with far-reaching views from the top.
On the farm a herd of goats, flock of breeding ewes, herd of Exmoor ponies, sheep and a donkey can be seen grazing in the adjoining fields. The owners run the farm in harmony with nature and you will be welcome to enjoy a walk in the wilderness trail through the nature reserve direct from the cottages. In the area horse riding, golf and fishing can be found close by, as well as The Eden Project, Newquay Zoo and the beautiful National Trust properties and gardens. The National Trust Lanhydrock House is right on your doorstep, with it's gardens and cycle paths leading into Bodmin then onto the Camel Trail, guests are welcome to bring their own bikes.
The cottages have been converted from a range of old granite farm buildings, dating back to the 1860s and many original features have been maintained. Each cottage is provided with a copy of The Saints Way, a book describing the Way, running from Padstow to Fowey past Helman Tor and other interesting landmarks of the Way. A low enclosed wall separates the cottages from the rest of the farm.
Outside: shared enclosed lawn offers plenty of space for children to play. Some toys are provided along with a BBQ and seating. Shared utility room: washing machine and tumble dryer situated in the shared laundry.
Amenities: ample parking on site. Bed linen, electric, night storage heating and Wi-Fi included. Regret no pets or smoking in the property.
Location: shop and Post Office 3 miles, pub 4 miles, beaches on the south coast approximately 10 miles.
The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: 1 double and 1 single.
Bathroom: with shower over bath and WC. Lounge / kitchen: open-plan area with TV and DVD, Freeview and coal effect electric fire. Kitchen area with breakfast bar, electric cooker, microwave and fridge / freezer.
