Fold Bank cottage Yorkshire Dales
Fold Bank is a semi-detached, stone-built barn conversion, situated two miles from the North Yorkshire town of Bentham, with beautiful, uninterrupted views towards Ingleborough. The property has three bedrooms, including a super king-size double, which can be unzipped into a twin on request, a double room and a twin room. There is also a family bathroom with a separate show cubicle and downstairs, a kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room. Outside, there is off road parking for three cars and a garden with furniture where you can enjoy alfresco dining in the summer. With each of The Yorkshire Three Peaks nearby providing a great challenge for keen walkers, or easier walks to suit those of all abilities aplenty in the surrounding area, Fold Bank is a great base for those exploring this wonderful region of Yorkshire.
The Yorkshire market town of High Bentham is ideal for exploring the Yorkshire Dales National Park to the north and east, with the Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, stretching away to the south. The Bowland fells and the nearby three peaks area of Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-Ghent provide excellent terrain for the enthusiastic walker, while the delights of the Lake District are only half an hour away. High Bentham is a busy little town with a weekly cattle market, good local shops and services and a choice of pubs providing meals. The High Bentham area is threaded with public footpaths and rights of way that are well documented in a local walk guide and cover locations such as the River Wenning or the Great Stone of Fourstones, a relic of the ice age and a spectacular viewpoint.
