With a delightful selection of pubs and small shops you will have everything you need for a relaxing break close to your retreat. The fishing industry has prevailed in Robin Hoods Bay and there is a fishmongers in the village where you can buy freshly landed seafood. In the wider area make sure you take a day trip to Whitby. The ruins of the 13th-century St Hildas Abbey on East Cliff dominate views across the River Esk and is a stunning spot for a photograph. Whitby also has excellent literary associations through the works of Lewis Carroll and Bram Stoker namely Dracula. Stepping through the front door of this gorgeous single-level barn conversion you feel at home immediately. First of all you will encounter the lovely kitchen which comes compete with a retro-style fridge electric oven and gas hob and a dishwasher.
