Located close to the quaint village of Horsehouse in the beautiful Coverdale this farmhouse offers guests the perfect escape as they can immerse themselves in the stunning surrounding scenery. The area around this holiday home is somewhat of a walkers haven with many picturesque routes right from the doorstep. Following a day of walking take respite in the welcoming pub sitting a mere 500 yards from the house to enjoy a post-walk refresher. Travel 7 miles south to visit the village of Middleham some to a collection of pubs eateries and shops alongside its famous castle. Just 8 miles away sits Leyburn home to the Forbidden Corner Bolton Castle and the wonderful Harmby Waterfall. Step inside to find a house that oozes charm appeal with its period properties elegant furniture and welcoming touches throughout. The ground floor is home to the lounge kitchen/dining area and a cosy little snug. At the heart of the spacious lounge is a roaring wood burner within a feature fireplace. With exposed beams original wood shutters and comfortable seating this room is a lovely little retreat. In addition to the lounge there is a separate snug complete with TV wood burner and DVD player. The traditional farmhouse kitchen is a bright and airy space offering everything you ll need and more. Rustle up some hearty homecooked food before enjoying family meals at the oak dining table. You ll find all three bedrooms on the first floor each boasting access to its own private bathroom. The master is home to a super king-size bed and en-suite shower room. The second and third bedrooms are home to super king-size beds with en-suite bathrooms both with a feature bath to sink into of an evening. Outside is equally as impressive as inside with the extensive grounds boasting a huge enclosed garden perfect for summer picnics and making the most of the great outdoors. Theres also a pretty sheltered patio to make use of. If you re lucky you might even spot some of the local wildlife from pheasants to wild deer. Need to know: 1 king size bedroom, 2 super king bedrooms (can be configured as twins, must request at the time of booking). 1 en suite shower room, 2 bathrooms. Kitchen: oven, microwave, hob, fridge/freezer. Outside seating area and garden. Traditional wood burner. Off road parking. LCD TV, DVD player. Wi Fi included. Due to the location mobile phone strength can vary. 2 dogs welcome please note there is livestock in adjacent fields and dogs must be kept under control. Travel cot / high chair available. Pub within half a mile, shop within 7 miles. Please note the track to Hindlethwaite Hall is untarmacked but suitable for normal vehicles. Children are welcome but please be aware the house has many steps with hard floors so toddlers must be supervised at all times.
