Renowned for its literary heritage Hay-on-Wye is a pretty market town where you can indulge in something to eat browse quintessential book shops and explore The Warren a Site of Special Scientific Interest meadow perfect for dog walks. The adventurous amongst you can travel 9 miles to the Black Mountain Activities centre where you can try your hand at rock climbing caving and gorge walking to name just a few sessions on offer. As you enter this property you can make use of the handy drying cupboard perfect for boots and coats post-adventure. Take a moment to settle in front of the wood burner and curl up on the sofa; the wood burner sits amongst exposed bricks in the original feature fireplace beautifully complementing the oak beams above. Switch on the TV for a lazy evening or simply enjoy the peace and quiet. Head into the kitchen to cook up a storm as you gaze out over the valley in this light space. The family bathroom sits on the ground floor and is home to a bath and shower overhead so you can soak or rinse off after walks. Climb stairs to the first floor where the two bedrooms are. The double has bright bursts of colour and the twin is snug with a sloping ceiling please take care. Watch for external steps as you descend into the garden area at this lovely cottage. Bask in the sun on the long lawn great for younger guests to run around and play. Alternatively sit at the furniture and get the BBQ firing for an outdoor feast.
