In a picturesque setting, this cottage annexe sits within beautiful garden grounds, overlooking the Teviot Valley. The main lodge dates from the 1800’s and was the Duke of Buccleuch’s former Head Gamekeepers house, a warm welcome awaits from the owner and guests privacy is assured.
While away the hours exploring the surrounding countryside with great walks directly from the property. Fishing can also be arranged locally. The 5 acres surrounding the lodge allows paddocking for two horses, arranged directly with the owner. The historic and important Border town of Hawick is 6 miles, conveniently placed for the A7 which is the historic tourist route to Edinburgh which links the northwest of England with southern central Scotland. There are also a wide range of amenities and local events throughout the year. Pub and restaurant 2 miles.
The accommodation is all on one level and offers TWO bedrooms: 1 double and 1 twin.
Bathroom: with shower over bath and WC. Lounge / kitchen / diner: open plan. Lounge / diner: cosy and comfortable with woodburner effect fire, patio doors opening to the garden, flatscreen TV / DVD and wi-fi. Kitchen: with small breakfast bar, electric cooker and microwave. Utility Room: with large fridge and washing machine.
Outside: beautiful mature enclosed private garden with garden furniture and BBQ.
