This property is ideally situated for those who want to make the most of all that the Lake District has to offer both in terms of its stunning landscape and its cultural heritage. The village of Hawkshead the centre of which is just a two-minute walk from the property is known for its connections to both Beatrix Potter and William Wordsworth both of whom have National Trust properties in the village dedicated to them. Both Lake Windermere and Coniston Water are within a twenty-minute drive of the property both offering visitors opportunities to take to the water. There are plentiful scenic walks in the area as well as more challenging hikes and climbs. Two steps lead up to the front door of this property which opens onto a hallway off from which a door opens onto the lounge. This is a tastefully decorated room with a bay window overlooking the neighbouring field a cosy wood burner TV and DVD. To the rear of the property the spacious dining room is a relaxing space in which to linger over family meals with a dining table seating six another wood burner and shelving unit which is well-stocked with games and books. French windows open onto the patio garden allowing guests to open up this space during the warmer months. The kitchen which enjoys views over the local countryside is well-equipped with an oven hob microwave fridge and dishwasher whilst a door leads on to the utility room where guests will find the washing machine and /freezer as well as a convenient WC. The utility room like the dining room gives access to the rear garden. Upstairs there are three restful bedrooms: a double a twin and a single room all of which are tastefully decorated with pine furniture and light simple colour schemes. The bright and contemporary bathroom is also on the first floor and offers a bath separate shower cubicle and WC. Outside there is a patio garden with seating to the rear of the property and a driveway for two cars just to the side of the cottage. Guests are able to use the garage for storing bikes etc. Need to know: 3 bedrooms: a double, single, and twin. Bathroom with bath, shower, and WC. Ground floor WC. TV/DVD.
