This gorgeous property looks out on a small square in the village of Hawkshead within walking distance of shops and eateries in the village. There are plenty of attractions in the area such as Beatrix Potters Hill Top House and links William Wordsworth visitors can also visit the National Trust managed Beatrix Potter Gallery and historic Grammar School. Grizedale Forest is just a short drive south of the village and offers stunning walks a sculpture trail fun Segway hire and a Go-Ape climbing centre which even has a thrilling zip wire for those feeling brave. Head to Coniston for a boat trip or take a trip to Lake Windermere just a short drive from the property. The property is the ideal base from which to enjoy this beautiful region. The property is set down one of Hawksheads charming cobbled streets where guests access the property via a set of steep external steps which take you straight into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with its original beams and stonework. Here you will find the perfect place to unwind and relax after a days exploring. The room is wonderfully relaxing with comfy double sofa bed a wood burner and TV/DVD and in the kitchen area a gas oven and hob fridge and microwave along with a charming window seat which overlooks the square. There are also a table and chairs which are perfect for a romantic meal. Head down a few steps into the cosy hallway where you will find the single bedroom immediately to your right next is the double bedroom. Finally the bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Outside there is a small seating area at the bottom of the steep and narrow slate steps with table and chairs perfect for al fresco dining.
