Hawkshead is one of the regions most attractive villages with a choice of welcoming pubs and several interesting National Trust properties. Lake Windermere lies just a three mile drive to the east of the property along a country road which passes through the hamlet of Near Sawrey where visitors will find Hill Top the former home of Beatrix Potter. Less than five miles to the west of the property Coniston Water offers a range of water sports from it boating centre or perhaps enjoy a Swallows and Amazons boat trip out to Peel Island said to be the inspiration for Wild Cat Island in Arthur Ransomes celebrated novel. The heart of this lovely apartment accessed via the entrance hall is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner and it is here that guests will spend most of their time when they aren t out exploring the local area. The room has Karndean flooring throughout a contemporary wall mounted coal-effect fire two comfortable sofas and a Smart TV. The dining area is located behind the lounge seating area to the left of which is the contemporary kitchen equipped with an oven hob microwave dishwasher fridge with ice compartment and washer / dryer. The first of two bedrooms the king-size master bedroom is a lovely light-filled space thanks to the French windows which give access to the apartments enclosed private patio. The neighbouring room has twin beds which can be made up as a king size on request and looks out onto the patio garden. The sleek shower room is fully tiled with shower and WC. Because of the accessibility and layout of this property it is ideal option for those with limited mobility. Outside the property benefits from an enclosed sunny patio accessed via the master bedroom which has a table and chairs ideally for relaxing with a drink at the end of a busy day. There is off-road parking provided for two cars. Need to know: 2 bedrooms: a king size and a zip and link twin (can be made up as king size on request). Shower room with WC. Small private patio.
