Hawthornden cottage North York Moors and Coast
Hawthornden is a single-storey annexe attached to the owner`s home, two miles from the town of Filey. The cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms which are made up of a double with an en-suite shower room and a twin room which has zip/link beds which can be a king-size double on request. There is also a family bathroom and an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and a sitting area with a woodburner. Outside there is off road parking for one car and additional roadside parking, bike storage and an enclosed patio with a lawned area, furniture and barbecue. Hawthornden is a well placed cottage for an enjoyable holiday at any time of year.
Filey is a traditional English seaside resort with a friendly atmosphere, offering a restful holiday. A fishing town on the North East Coast, Filey has enjoyed a reputation of being a resort since Victorian times, set beside the magnificent Filey Bay, a long stretch of beautiful sand, with Filey Brigg and its shallow rockpools to the north. The town itself seems almost caught in a time warp, retaining much of its character with individual shops, narrow paths and ginnels.
