Set deep in the South Shropshire countryside where walkers are spoilt for choice: winding country lanes waymarked footpaths and a little further afield the Long Mynd Mortimer Forest the Shropshire Way and Offas Dyke. The area is steeped in history; explore the ancient towns and villages and visit Ludlow and Stokesay castles. If you have time there are many National Trust houses and gardens. Ludlow and the surrounding south Shropshire countryside is an ideal cycling area. Often referred to as mini Switzerland the beautiful hilly countryside includes the Shropshire Hills an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has many quiet country lanes forest areas and planned routes to suit cyclists of all abilities. There are numerous local events throughout the year including food music and crafts. This is also an area well-known for its excellent restaurants and pubs many serving locally sourced produce. A visit to the Ludlow Farm shop is a must. Some of the most stunning golf courses in the country are nearby namely Church Stretton and Kington. The cottage itself is built of traditional red brick and stone and sits within its own enclosed garden. Downstairs there is a delightfully furnished sitting room with comfortable sofas around a wood-burning stove - the perfect place for relaxing or watching TV. If you need to do some work during your stay there is a self-contained desk area. The large attractive kitchen has a dining area with a farmhouse table for six. The kitchen is modern and well-equipped with an electric oven and hob microwave fridge freezer and dishwasher. There is also a utility room with a washing machine dryer and a useful rear lobby great for muddy boots and coats. Upstairs three bedrooms lead off a spacious landing: a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower bath and WC a bedroom with a king-size bed and a further twin room. There is also a family bathroom with a handheld shower over bath and WC. The enclosed garden offers a dedicated seating area and charcoal BBQ along with an enclosed lawn thats perfect for garden games and dogs. Alongside the cottage there is off-road parking for two cars and storage for bicycles. It is possible to bring your own horse and to have full livery stabling for up to 3 horses at an additional cost. On the estate there are numerous tracks and bridle paths to be enjoyed (please enquire for pricing).
