Healers Cottage cottage Heart of England
Healer`s Cottage is a lovely holiday home on the outskirts of the rural village of Hoarwithy. This delightful and welcoming 17th century stone built detached barn conversion is set in the owners` 5 acre smallholding and boasts a lovely shared lawned garden and private patio with furniture, a peaceful spot in which to enjoy some al fresco dining, reached through French windows from the bedroom. The cottage offers an open plan living area including a well-equipped fitted kitchen, dining and sitting areas, and a warming wood burner. The garden affords gorgeous views over the Wye Valley and the fields of this area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Healer`s Cottage is a wonderful holiday retreat for a romantic break.
The village is a place where you can truly get away from it all, but is also easily accessed from the M50. The rural beauty of the village has remained virtually unchanged for centuries, and the countryside all around with its rolling hills, lush pastures and woodland is gloriously unspoilt. Nestling on the banks of the River Wye, Hoarwithy is home to a beautiful Italianate church, a superb pub with a restaurant and wonderful walking opportunities on the doorstep. Picturesque Ross-on-Wye is close by, and if you venture a little further afield you will find the historic cathedral city of Hereford, the incredible Wye Gorge at Symonds Yat, the Forest of Dean, and the gateway to Wales, Monmouth.
