Heron Lodge cottage Scotland
Heron Lodge is just a quarter of a mile inland from the beach at Sandyhills, an area providing plenty of opportunities to walk or cycle. The lodge sleeps five with three bedrooms, one double, one single and one twin room. Downstairs there is a family bathroom with a bath, shower and toilet. The lodge is open plan with a galley-style kitchen, dining area, hallway and sitting room. Head outside to find a balcony with views over Colvend golf course. Heron Lodge is perfect for a family break to Scotland, a short distance from several fabulous beaches. These nearby locations ensure a fun filled break with attractions for all ages.
The village of Colvend boasts a shop, a mobile Post Office and a season restaurant, as well as a pottery shop nearby. This area of coastline has many rugged cliffs and secret bays and there are a number of footpaths to be explored. Cyclists have easy access to most of the 7stanes mountain bike complex, and the renowned Galloway Dark Sky Forest Park is a short drive away. Rockcliffe and Sandyhills beaches provide an enjoyable family day out.
