Offering peace, tranquillity and beautiful views, this refurbished luxury detached cottage which was featured and recommended in the BBC Countryfile magazine, is situated on a private 40 acre estate within the heart of Dartmoor National Park. Enjoy some lovely walks around the estate grounds or relax by the Willsworthy Brook in the secluded cottage garden exclusive for guests use. In the evening take in the stunning views of Dartmoor and gorgeous sunsets from the courtyard seating area.
Nearby is the award winning market town of Tavistock with its famous market, shops, pubs and restaurants. The beaches on the south coasts of Devon and Cornwall are easily reached.The nearby attractions include National Trust properties such as, Lydford Gorge and Castle Drogo or visit Becky falls and historic Plymouth with its Hoe, Barbican and National Marine Aquarium. Leisure facilities: guests are welcome to fish for trout and salmon on the estates stretch of the River Tavy or you might like to try your hand at falconry which can be arranged onsite through the owners. The estate also has a stable yard and an infamous Shetland Pony who is perfect for younger guests to pat and enjoy. On a sunny day take a dip in the rock pool. Explore the moors on horse back as there is a horse and pony trekking centre just five minutes drive away.
The accommodation is finished to an extremely high standard with all rooms having a delightful countryside view. There are THREE large bedrooms: 1 twin downstairs. Upstairs offers 1 king-size with en-suite bathroom with bath, large shower and WC. 1 further double.
