A few minutes drive from Kehelland Farmhouse is stunning St.Ives bay which is one of the top bay worldwide. Gwithian beach is a three mile stretch of unbroken golden sands which is surfers paradise and leads to Godrevy beach which is iconic lighthouse and seal population. Both beaches are a delight for families with rock pools to explore and certain stretches of the beach are dog friendly. The are is a mist for walkers birdwatchers and nature lovers as they can easily access the Coastal Path and the RSPC maintained tidal estuary and salt march at Hayle. Kehelland is a perfect base from which to explore the coastal towns and villages on both the North and South coast. St.Ives Penzance Sennen Lands end Mousehole Porthleven and Marazion - with the famous backdrop of St. Michaels mount are all within easy reach. Nearby is the historic Port of Falmouth with its Maritime museum and Castle. there are also a host of National trust properties and areas to explore including Trelissick Godolphin house Trerice Trengwainton and Glendurgan gardens. There are many restaurants and traditional inns in the area many with stunning views out to sea and over the rugged coastline that has been showcased in the BBC series Poldark. Step into this beautiful Victorian farmhouse and you couldn t be anywhere other than in the heart of Cornwall. The large granite fireplace in the lounge original farm diary- now a kitchen and boot room with beamed ceiling and granite fireplace are just some of the features typical of a 19th century Cornish farmhouse. if you choose this as your destination you will get the best of both world on one hand charm and tradition on the other all the modern facilities you could wish for and lots of space. The is a large gravel drive with ample parking. On the ground floor the accommodation consists of 5 rooms and a porch. The comfortable lounge features a large granite fireplace with wood burning stove and a smart TV with Sky (including sports) and has been totally refurnished. The stunning garden room with wood burning stove opens onto the patio/barbecue area with plenty of seating flower beds a goldfish pond and a wildlife pond. A convenient place for leaving beach gear and wet dogs is the boot room/ snug which has beamed ceilings and a granite fireplace with wood burning stove. The original farm diary has been updated into a modern kitchen with granite worktops and has a ceramic hob double over cooker dishwasher large fridge and a microwave along with being well equipped. The washing machine tumble dryer and large upright freezer are situated in a utility room in granite outbuildings just across the pretty back yard which features large granite trough water pump and blacksmiths anvil. The utility room also has a butlers sink handy for washing off wetsuits. Last but not least the downstairs shower room is newly updated with power shower freestanding basin on marble unit along with WC. Moving onto the first floor you will find two comfortable double bedrooms a very large attractive family bathroom featuring marble vanity area with free standing basin an open plan office area with desk. A staircase leads up to the second floor and through a beamed seating area with TV and chaise longue to a double bedroom with en suite and views to the coast in the distance. The fourth bedroom has two single beds and is ideal for children or teenager. Need to know: 4 bedrooms 3 doubles and 1 twin (top to toe single beds suitable for children only). 1 bathroom, 1 shower room and 1 en suite bathroom. Electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. Outside utility area with washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer. 3 wood burners (first basket of logs included for all). Electric and central heating included. Bed linen and towels included. Wi Fi included. 2 dogs welcome by arrangement. Beach 3 miles, shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile. Sky TV (Including Sports) located in the lounge and TV in the snug. Parents please be aware there is an ornate pond in the garden area. Ample off road parking .
