Kellocks Cottage cottage Scotland
Kellocks Cottage is a lovely old miner`s cottage nestled in Wanlockhead, near Leadhills in Scotland. Hosting one king-size bedroom, together sleeping two guests with a ground-floor shower room. It has an open-plan living room with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area with a woodburning stove. Outside has an enclosed gravelled area with furniture, as well as off-road parking for one car. Kellocks Cottage is a wonderful choice for a rural, romantic break to Scotland.
Leadhills is a wonderful village resting in Scotland. A former mining village sitting at over 1200ft, it boasts plenty of history awaiting to be discovered, as well as it now being a conservation area! The village is home to both a shop and a scatter of pubs, with the attractions of the Leadhills and Wanlockhead Railway, Britain`s highest golf course and opportunities for fly fishing all being worth exploring. The neighbouring village of Wanlockhead boasts the annual Scottish and British Gold Panning Championships, while Biggar, Moffat, and even Glasgow and Edinburgh can be reached via a scenic car journey.
