1 OF 3 PROPERTIES TUCKED AWAY IN THE NORTH DEVON COUNTRYSIDE
The three cottages have been sympathetically converted to a high standard from a Victorian stone barn. They are set around a beautiful, fully fenced, grassed courtyard next to the owner's farmhouse. The cottages retain many period features such as vaulted, beamed ceilings and wooden floors. When combined with modern features and cosy wood burners, these cottages give much charm and comfort.
Tucked away in its own 47 acres in a sunny valley within the Exmoor National Park. Surrounded by panoramic views and bordered by woodland, a river, and rolling pasture, it is a perfect place for a secluded and peaceful self-catering holiday. At the end of a long unmade farm track it is a delightful and safe environment for children and animals, free from passing traffic, 3 miles from the unspoilt village of Parracombe with its award-winning pub and friendly shop and Post Office. You will be within easy reach of moorland and the North Devon coast, Lynton and Lynmouth and the sandy beaches at Woolacombe and Croyde. Footpaths lead direct from the cottages to the moors and the sea. As well as splendid walking, there are riding stables nearby together with a wide variety of local attractions for all weathers. The farm is home to red deer, bats, buzzards, owls, otters and a huge array of wildlife and wildflowers.
Play facilities: fenced outdoor picnic / play area with Wendy house and small climbing frame. Games room: cheerful, bright barn in the courtyard with table tennis, table football, small snooker table, skittles, croquet and many more toys and games.
Outside: large shared grassy courtyard with garden furniture for playing outdoor games, picnicking or a quiet read. Utility: shared laundry room with a washing machine, tumble dryer, large overhead drying rack, wellies and fishing nets to borrow.
Amenities: bed linen, electric, central heating and wi-fi included. Towels for hire. First basket of logs free then £7.50 per basket. Arrival: 3.30pm.
The accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin and 1 further en-suite twin with a pair of single four-poster beds made from the original grain bins.
Bathroom: with shower over bath, WC and shaver point. Lounge / kitchen / diner: spacious open-plan living area with woodburner, flatscreen TV, radio, DVD and CD. Fully fitted kitchen dinner with a farmhouse table, pine cupboards, gas cooker, freezer, microwave, fridge and dishwasher.
Outside: private patio with picnic table and BBQ.
Amenities: 2 well-behaved dogs welcome but must not be left unattended and must be kept on leads where requested. Regret no smoking.
