4 miles from the coast, there are many good, sandy beaches to choose from including Bude, Sandymouth and Widemouth and small coves such as Duckpool, Northcott and Welcome Mouth. The area is famous for its walks and is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Hawker's Hut, on the cliffs at nearby Morwenstow, was built in the 1800s by Robert Hawker the vicar of the parish and is renowned for its stunning position above the Atlantic. A circular walk from here has prize winning tea rooms and a pub en route. Many all year attractions are within an easy drive including Tamar Lakes for watersports and fishing and Ivyleaf for mountain boarding and a 9 hole golf course. Bude is a short drive and has family appeal with surf lessons, surfboard and cycle hire,18 hole golf course, canal and a variety of restaurants and shops.
Farm activities: cattle and sheep graze many of the surrounding fields and visitors may watch milking, calf feeding and seasonal activities at the owners neighbouring farm.
