Kites Nest cottage Heart of England
Kite`s Nest is one of three barn conversion cottages on a 200 acre farm in the village of Eaton-under-Heywood near to Church Stretton in Shropshire. With one king size double bedroom and an ensuite bathroom on the mezzanine floor this cottage sleeps two people. The rest of the accommodation is made up of an open plan living area with a fitted kitchen, a dining area and a sitting room. Outside the cottage is off road parking for 2 cars, bike storage, a private patio with furniture plus a shared lawned garden with a brick built BBQ. There is also a 10 acre natural garden with ponds and access to 100 acres of woodland on the slopes of Wenlock Edge. Livery for guests horses are by arrangement with the owner. With so much to see and do all year round, Kite`s Nest is a fabulous holiday cottage in the heart of Shropshire.
The rural village of Eaton-under-Heywood lies under both the famous Wenlock Edge and the woods that run along it, and is surrounded by scenic countryside. From the village, the Jacob`s Ladder path leads straight up the Edge, providing lovely walks. Nearby is the market town of Church Stretton, which lies in the heart of south Shropshire. It is set amid striking scenery and has often been described as "Little Switzerland". The town is the main centre for Shropshire`s hill country and home to a variety of tearooms, pubs and specialist shops. Other local attractions include walks on the Long Mynd, the Acton Scott Working Farm as seen on TV, and Stokesay Castle. The historic towns of Shrewsbury, Ludlow, the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge, Much Wenlock and Bishops Castle are only a short journey away.
