A haven for keen walkers with a network of waymarked paths on the doorstep and perfect for exploring the many market towns like Leominster famed for its antique and curiosity shops. Visit Pembridge for an afternoon tea or Ludlow which is a thriving medieval market town bursting with Michelin starred restaurants: a haven for foodies. Theres also a regular local produce market and a host of events and festivals throughout the year. Stop by Hay-on-Wye the literary town famed for its annual festival and plethora of second hand book shops. A little further afield the Black Mountains in the Brecon Beacons and the stunning Elan Valley are worth exploring whatever the time of year.
