Liathach cottage Scotland

Liathach is a lovely log cabin situated on Glentruim Estate, near Newtonmore in the Scottish Highlands. It hosts three bedrooms; one bunk, one double and a twin room to sleep six people in total. There is an open-plan living area comprising a kitchen, dining area and sitting area with a gas fire. There is a veranda outside with decking and a seating area looking out over fantastic countryside views. Liathach is ideal for families and friends to discover a glorious part of Scotland.

Newtonmore has several shops and pubs, as well as two award-winning museums - the Highland Folk Museum and Clan MacPherson Museum. Newtonmore`s Wildcat Trail is a popular, 7-mile circular walk around the edge of the village, taking in the River Spey with woodland, moorland and views across the valley to the Cairngorms, and behind the village to the Monadhliath Mountains - a fitting introduction to the delights of the National Park. For younger visitors, the Folk Park, the Wildlife Park at Kincraig, Landmark at Carrbridge and the Steam Railway are all outstanding local attractions.
