The peaceful rural village of Llangarron is an ideal base to explore the Wye Valley and Royal Forest of Dean. With a wealth of trails that can be explored on foot cycle or horseback from your front door. Along with caving abseiling canoeing and a high wire rope course for the more adventurous. Offering easy access to both the riverside towns of Ross-on-Wye hailed as the birthplace of modern tourism with its 17th century market house and Monmouth the birth place of Henry V. Visit Goodrich Castle established in 1095 set majestically within a wooded hill and the spectacular views from Symonds Yat rock are also not to be missed. DIT livery available by arrangement with the owner. Take in the peace and quiet before you step back in time to this sympathetically restored granary the open-plan kitchen/diner is brimming with character and offers a warm welcome to all that come and stay. The kitchen area is well-equipped with electric oven and hob microwave fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The wooden farmhouse style dining table takes centre stage with a traditional dresser set to the rear and is the perfect setting for a simple supper after a full day exploring. This room opens onto a cosy lounge set with sofas and a TV/DVD ready for a movie. So when the time comes to bid goodnight climb the stairs and beware of the sloping ceilings where you will find two bedrooms. A super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be made up as a twin on request) which is spacious and offers great space for a travel cot its further enhanced with authentic wood panelling and exposed beams with views onto the cider mill. There is a bunk bed room with standard size bunk beds for two enjoying views onto the grounds. There is a bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Step outside and wander across to open gardens there is a table and chairs set to the side of the herb garden along with a BBQ continue into the gardens to a further gated area with an open aspect onto the brook planted with specimen trees and perfect for a lazy afternoon in the sun. There is a covered bike rack and parking for two cars. Need to know: 2 bedrooms 1 super king size zip and link (which can be made up as a twin on request) and 1 bunk bedroom. Please provide required bed make up when booking. 1 bathroom . Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Electric and central heating included. Off road parking for 2 cars. Wi Fi included. 2 dogs welcome. Pubs and shop 2 mile. Charcoal BBQ available (Charcoal not provided). Covered bike rack. TV/DVD in lounge. Travel cot and high chair available. DIT livery is available by arrangement with the owner. Arrival time 4pm.
