With spacious rooms throughout and a generous enclosed garden to the rear there is plenty of space for you all to spread out. The cottage neighbours the village school and there is a village pub within 200 metres which is very convenient. Being only 2 miles from the A35 making it easy to explore other places within the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. To the south is the World Heritage Jurassic Coast famous for fossil hunting; to the west is the popular seaside town of Lyme Regis (13 miles); and to the east is the unique Chesil Beach (18 miles) and the seaside town of Weymouth (21 miles). On entering the house you will be struck by the quirky original features and eclectic mix of traditional furniture that give this cottage an abundance of character. To the left of the small hallway is the spacious lounge with its exposed beams window seat and interesting stone fireplace. It has a cosy ambience which is complemented further by the open fire making it the perfect place to settle down of an evening. Leading on from the lounge to the rear of the property is the country cottage-style kitchen/diner. Modest but well-equipped you will find everything you need here to conjure up a scrummy breakfast or delicious dinner whilst enjoying views of the garden. Heading upstairs there are two good-sized bedrooms: one with a king-size bed and one with a double and a single bed. Once again they are spacious and comfortable with a mix of traditional furniture which adds character. Also on the first floor is the recently refurbished bathroom which is contemporary in style with its bespoke built-in basin unit and shower over a large bath. Please note: from the landing there is a steep ladder-style staircase leading up to a locked attic but families with young children need to be aware of this. Outside there is a sheltered undercover patio area with table and chairs which is a great place to enjoy a spot of al fresco dining.
