You could also catch a ferry across to the neighbouring resort town of Torquay. Brixham has an interesting array of restaurants many of which specialise in locally-caught seafood. Those with an interest in history will enjoy jumping on board the towns replica of the Golden Hind or learning about the areas chequered history by following the eye-opening Blackbeards Trail.
