You can amble across the farmland after a lazy lunch a picnic alongside the River Wye or tackle Hay Bluff The Black Mountains or Brecon Beacons. Ideal for cyclists or why not hire a canoe and take time to enjoy the River. A trip to one of the many market towns is a must where you can pick up local produce from a farmers market or browse the independent shops Hay-on-Wye is famed for books and the annual international literary festival and the market towns of Monmouth Ledbury Ross-on-Wye Ludlow Kington and Leominster all welcome you with an eclectic range of independent shops. Or step back in time and visit one of the many castles or historic monuments that are dotted across this border country. Nearby are opportunities for hobbies such as fishing. Take in the views as you turn onto the wide sweeping gravelled driveway and meticulously maintained half acre of landscaped private grounds which adjoin open fields that lead up to the Black Mountains. A grand canopy porch leads into the galleried reception hall; once you have settled in you will be able to relax and enjoy pre-dinner drinks from the bar. The fabulously bright and airy kitchen /dining room is a haven for the best of chefs with a contemporary styled kitchen offering a gas Rangemaster oven American fridge freezer with chilled water and ice maker dishwasher Nespresso coffee machine and professional juicer. A central table and chairs for four is the perfect stop for afternoon tea with the papers or for childrens snacks. The dining area has views on three sides across the countryside with a table to seat 10. The utility room has a cordless Dyson and space for dogs coats and boots. There is also a WC. The drawing room is a huge and sumptuous space where you can relax in pure style light the wood burner and catch up with friends. Both main reception rooms have 55 or 65 Ultra HD Smart TV with sound bar and Blu-ray where you can relax and make use of the Sky package including sports cinema kids Disney and Netflix. For fun the games room has been finished with quirky pieces and a welcoming style perfect to bring out your competitive side and set up a pool tournament there is also a selection of board games. A study is ideal if you need to work whilst away and holds a wide-ranging selection of books for both adults and children. For fitness there is a private gym set up adjoining the carport for you to enjoy a workout before breakfast with weight bench and bar bike bands and more. When the day is done climb the stairs onto the spacious mezzanine landing where you will find several cosy seating areas ideal for you and your favourite book. There are five bedrooms all finished with crisp bed linen cosy throws and fresh towels. The super-king-size main bedroom has a Juliet balcony with a picture window offering the most stunning views this room has a large en-suite with separate shower free standing bath double vanity units and WC.
