Mary Agnes Cottage is a stone-built, detached cottage set in an elevated position overlooking the sea in a hamlet just five miles from Allihies in County Cork. With three bedrooms consisting of two doubles (one with an ensuite Jacuzzi bath) and a family bedroom, as well as a family shower room, this cottage is suitable for seven people. Also within the cottage are a fitted kitchen with a dining area and French doors to the patio and a sitting room with an open fire. To the outside of the cottage is off road parking for three cars and a lawned garden with a patio, outdoor furniture and a BBQ. With its neighbouring cottage, Mary Agnes Cottage can sleep up to thirteen people and is perfect for a large family gathering or for a group of friends wishing to discover this stunning part of Ireland.
The village of Allihies in County Cork sits on the Western tip of the Beara peninsula, in a region of unspoiled natural beauty. The village lies on The Ring of Beara, a tourist trail of about 195 kilometres (121 miles) circumnavigating the peninsula. Attractions nearby include Dursey Island, which is linked to the mainland by a Cable Car and is the only such ride in Europe to cross over water. The island is also a recognised Bird Sanctuary, with numerous species, rare and otherwise, seen regularly.
