The property is set along a private drive and is opposite the Norman church of St Cynog in the tiny hamlet of Merthyr Cynog. Red kites can be seen in the area and there are miles of breathtaking walks nearby including the Epynt Way. Set on the outskirts of the Brecon Beacons local attractions include the remains of the ancient fort at Pen-y Crug (7 miles) Crychan Forest (20 miles) Pen y Fan (14 miles) and the Usk Reservoir (20 miles). The pretty cathedral town of Brecon (8 miles) has plenty of great independent shops pubs and restaurants. This is also an ideal base for guests attending events at the Royal Welsh Showground in nearby Builth Wells (11 miles). Stepping into this light and attractive holiday property the charming lounge is a great space for you to relax in at the end of a great day and features exposed beams and stonework a contemporary wood burner comfortable sofa and SkyTV with DVD. Off-road parking is available outside the cottage. The property is next to the Old Vicarage where the owner runs an artisan bakery bread making courses are available by arrangement with the owner.
